Dark Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups sugar

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (Hershey’s, Cadbury or Ricoa)

  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 2 tsp. vanilla powder/liquid

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup fresh milk (or 1/2 cup evap. milk + 1/2 cup water)

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 cup boiling water

How To Cook Dark Chocolate Cake:
  1. Preheat oven to 180’C. Prepare a 13x9x2 inches baking pan, spray with cooking spray or brush with oil.

  2. Place all the dry ingredients in a fine sieve, sift on a large mixing bowl.

  3. Add the eggs, milk and oil. Whisk for a couple of minutes.

  4. Stir in the boiling water, batter will be very thin. Pour batter on prepared pan.

  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. Let it cool before slicing. You can cover it with plastic and chill for few days or freeze for a month.

  7. Serve on coffee breaks onboard. Enjoy your coffee time!
